World Homeless Day 2025: A Call to Action for Birmingham
For those sleeping rough in Birmingham, the approach of winter is a time of fear. World Homeless Day serves as a powerful reminder that now is the time to act to ensure our city’s most vulnerable have a safe place to go when the temperatures drop. The funds and volunteer interest we raise in October are critical for us to be able to open our doors on December 1st.
The challenges faced by homeless individuals are complex and ongoing. Learn more about the state of homelessness in Birmingham on our main resource page.
Our Goal: Providing Warmth, Shelter, and Dignity This Christmas
Our Christmas shelter is more than a bed for the night. It’s a place of warmth, community, and safety. It’s a hot meal shared with a friendly face. It’s a chance for our guests to access support, receive care, and feel a sense of belonging during what can be the most difficult time of the year.

Turn Awareness into Action: How You Can Help Today
This Friday, 10th October, is World Homeless Day. It’s a moment for global awareness, but for us here in Birmingham, it’s a vital call to local action. With winter on the horizon, today marks the official launch of the Birmingham Christmas Shelter Appeal. We have just over two months to prepare, and we need your help.
